I enjoyed this story overall and found the pacing to be suprisingly well written, despite it only being 6 pages.

However, I do believe that this work follows a common troupe, as with most short stories, of relying on the readers imagination and abruptly ending the story without any real resolution. If we compare this to Franz Kafka’s ‘The Metamorphosis’ I personally believe this is lazy writing or at the very least hackneyed.

Still an amazing read, and though old resonates with current societal issue’s of hypocrisy and fear of change.
