What Happens if Someone Doesn’t Submit a Story?
- This is a Writing Circle, and writing is the main purpose. While we understand that sometimes life gets in the way, participants should make an effort to write most rounds rather than only reviewing.
- Skipping out on writing every once in a while is okay, as long as you still review your group’s work and don’t make it a habit.
- If someone repeatedly signs up without submitting work, they may be asked to pause for a round before rejoining.
- If a participant reads and reviews others’ stories but doesn’t submit their own, group members are not obligated to give them feedback.
- Instead, members who want to read more and give extra feedback can choose a story from another group and personally provide feedback to that writer.
- All stories will be accessible to all participants, so anyone interested in reading more can do so.
- Groups rotate each round so participants get exposed to different writing styles and feedback over time.
