On Guilt, Redemption, and Raskolnikov

We did it! After weeks months of guilt, grime, and fever dreams, we’ve officially finished Crime and Punishment.

This is our space for final reflections — thoughts on the ending, the epilogue, Raskolnikov’s transformation (or lack thereof), and everything in between.

Feel free to comment with:

  • Overall thoughts on the novel
  • Reactions to the final chapters or Raskolnikov’s sentence
  • Favorite (or most haunting) passages
  • How your opinion of the book/characters changed while reading
  • What you’d say to Dostoevsky if you had 5 minutes and a blunt instrument

There’s a poetic stillness in your prose that invites deeper contemplation and leaves a lasting impression.

This work has an almost meditative quality to it. Each sentence feels carefully considered, yet they flow so naturally that it feels effortless. The insights you’ve shared seem to carry the weight of experience, and there’s a gentleness to the way you present them, as though you are offering the reader a piece of wisdom that you’ve carefully cultivated over time.
